Twisted Iron Hunting

I’ve spent hundreds on back packs to saddle hunt with. Everyone has its pros and cons. But the pack rat… no cons. I have room to keep all I need even for an all day sit. Greta product great company. And the owner, is amazing! Life time customer here!

First things first, my order was on back order and was taking longer than expected to deliver my order. The owner of Twisted Iron Hunting contacted me and made it right. That kind of service will get me to purchase more from Twisted Iron (I have arrows that have been pushed two times from another company and all I get from them is “wait, they will be in when they are in”.)
When it did arrive I rigged it on my tree preparing for the hunting season…I can’t seem to find anything bad to say! I’m the guy that takes a ton of gear with him and the Tree Hugger has storage for all of it. The Tree Hugger also replaces my gear strap, I can put my bow hanger and gear hangers on the built in tree mounting straps. I can’t wait to use it this white tail season!!

Last year I struggled packing my platform and sticks into the woods. Every pack I tried either didn’t hold my sticks very well or was way to
Bulky and heavy. The pack rat is the answer. Hands down the best system for carrying your saddle gear in and out of the woods. To say I am extremely pleased with my purchase is an understatement. I can’t wait to try it out next season on some public land hunts.

Awesome system that organizes all my gear in a convenient to carry pack

I’ve been watching this system for some time and when they had the close out sale on the whole system I went for it . A lot of time and thought went into this. You know it was designed by hunters. I am 64 years old and wanted a light weight easy setup and I have no doubt this will make transporting and setting up so much easier. Great job on a quality product!👏

As I have bought the bottom land with the bb pro and got the tree hugger last year I had to get the kanati pack rat with bb pro just for others to try and look at and have talked some into buying them and I have been asked if I would sell any so I’m looking buying some to keep on hand to be able to sell for Mr. Johnson. I would not mind being a dealer in the western Massachusetts area for these packs. These are hands down the only packs hunters should be having

Best saddle system out there for a southern hunter that likes to pack light and be compact.

Great setup for a mobile hunter. Purchased there og brown sett up originally , and decided it be nice for a second setup for out of state hunts for wind and thermal changes. Perfect for the minimalist who stays on the go. Have used all kinds of climbers and lock ons over the years but this has been my favorite setup so far to date. Thanks for a great product from the twisted iron group.

Overall 5 stars! I normally don't review anyone at 5 stars but this truly is the best mobile hunting pack I have ever used! I started with the original pack and have recently been blessed with the newest tree hugger kit/pack! Although I have yet to use it in the field, with season being out, I plan to practice with it and do the same routine things that entail prepping for season! Once I am able to utilize the pack during hunting season I will update my review then. For now, for the money its absolutely worth every penny! The backpack part where you store your platform, is basically a built in knee guard, which is amazing, one less thing to pack around or put on, knee pads! I LOVE this feature probably the most! The quality it unreal! My current pack has lasted me several yrs and still looks brand new really! The size is good. Although I am smaller than most, the pack is a tad large compared to others, but its not so large that its to heavy, bulky or anything like that! Its literally the perfect size to use for everything! Every season this comes in handy for me! Cannot wait to try the new one, tree hugger bag! And to cover the other review topics, the customer service is awesome! They back up ALL of their products, they are good people, who did great things in the outdoor community and a small business! No better experience than this and my reason for giving 5 stars! Definitely recommend for every mobile hunter! But also recommend for any hunter, as these bags can be used for many other things than just deer hunting!

Got the pack with BB and it's amazing holds my latitude xl platform no problem and the BB is the perfect size and holds my extras for saddle hunting even useful using my climbing stand

Quality thick materials and straps/buckles. Nice Quiet zippers. The larger design on the tree hugger is just what a person needs in one organized pack. Loaded that thing up with all the same items I have in my small backpack when I’m ground or box hunting so I wouldn’t have to transfer back and forth. Used it for the time with my food /snacks for all day sit. Strapped it to the tree in front of me and everything was laid out organized, instead of fumbling trying to remember where I put stuff in my backpack pockets. I’ll be throwing it over my shoulder and using it for all my hunts.

With this pack, I don’t have to carry sticks in my hand, or have them banging against each other hanging. With the BB pro, I can carry a few extra things that are readily accessible with minimal movement in the tree. It is light and compact and makes walking a half mile or so into the woods so much easier. This system is a game changer for me.

I planned to order it right before season ended and It showed you guys were out of stock till like May. So I just kept watching the web site to see when it would be back in stock. Once it was I ordered it, Since I received it, I have put it all together and can already tell its gonna be a game changer and I will be getting a lot off practice in before season. I absolutely love this set up. It truly meets all the issues that a saddle hunter would face on each hunt. Thank you for being the guy that actually got it designed.
